The pandemic has taken a toll on many people’s lives, and it’s no surprise that being in the medical field at a time like this has been very challenging. The pandemic has also taught us to be even more resilient through adversity. It has taken courage, patience and love to brave these unforeseen circumstances.
As we celebrate Nurses’ Week, and more specifically School Nurse Day on May 11 this year, I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate all of my fellow school nurses. It has not been easy, but, thanks to everyone’s continued dedication and persistence in pursuing our goal of bridging healthcare and education. We have come out the other side as better school nurses while tackling COVID-19 at our respective schools.
At the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, the health and safety of our students remains a top priority because we know that healthier students learn better.
Additionally, we would like to thank our school leaders, staff and parents for their continued support and cooperation in ensuring our school community continues to remain healthy and safe for all. Happy Nurses’ Week!
