As part of the IB Diploma CAS module, CIS students organised food and sanitary item donations from our community shelves. The student-led initiative in conjunction with Local4Local aims to provide regular work for cyclo drivers who collect and distribute donations to those in need in the Phnom Penh community on a weekly basis.

In addition, the cyclo drivers had their portraits unveiled alongside details of the project in our community art gallery on the exterior wall of our Koh Pich campus. We would like to thank all involved as well as those that have generously donated food and sanitary items. You can continue to donate items to our community shelves for the remainder of the year.

Update – Dress Down Day

A massive thank you to all CIS community members that brought in items for the community shelves for Dress Down Day, October 27th, 2021.

This week our students sorted the 2nd food donation to Local4Local – លូខលហ្វរលូខល. Since we received such a high volume of donations from our Dress Down Day, we needed to take vans to drop the food directly to the Cyclo Association. In the future, drivers will come to school for the pick up.
